The program, organized under the theme "The Ancient Triangle of Life: Forest-Water-Soil" as part of the May 22nd World Biodiversity Day, was a joint organization of the Eğirdir Faculty of Fisheries, the Faculty of Agriculture, and the Faculty of Forestry.

Speaking at the opening of the program, the Dean of the Eğirdir Faculty of Fisheries, Prof. Dr. Şengül Bilgin, made remarks on the significance of the day. Following her, the Rector of Isparta University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Çatal, drew attention to the fact that "there are more than 8 million species waiting to be discovered in the world," emphasizing that the university will continue to take the necessary steps to increase and protect biodiversity.

In the scientific sessions held as part of the event, the fundamental components of life were discussed in depth by expert speakers. Faculty member of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Ufuk Çelikkol Akçay, evaluated the possibilities of biodiversity in agricultural areas with his presentation titled "Is Biodiversity Possible in Agriculture?"; Professor Fahrettin Küçük, a faculty member at the Eğirdir Faculty of Fisheries, shared a critical overview of aquatic life, including lost species and habitats, in his presentation titled "Current Status of Turkey's Freshwater Fish Fauna: Threats and Conservation Approaches." In the final part of the program, Professor Yasin Karatepe, a faculty member at the Faculty of Forestry, highlighted the importance of the region's forest resources with his presentation "Evaluation of the Forests of the Lakes Region from a Biodiversity Perspective." The event, which emphasized that humans belong to nature, not the other way around, concluded with a group photo and a reminder of the indispensable place of each living thing in the life chain.
