The Department of Aquaculture conducts educational activities and research on the cultivation of freshwater and marine fish, aquarium fish, and shellfish. Within the Division of Fish Diseases, studies focus on the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of bacterial, parasitic, and fungal diseases affecting both farmed and wild fish species. These studies utilize bacteriological and serological methods, and the acquired knowledge is transferred to students to ensure they gain practical skills for working in fish farms after graduation.

Our department provides services including diagnosis and treatment of diseased fish sent from fish farms, bacteriological and chemical analysis of feed and water, and feasibility report preparation. The faculty has a closed production unit dedicated to freshwater fish and an aquaculture facility consisting of concrete ponds for fry rearing and broodstock storage.

Additionally, for students who wish to specialize in fish farming and fish diseases through research, a master's program is available. Currently, the department has 9 professors, 2 associate professors, 2 assistant professors, and 2 research assistants.
