The Career Planning and Alumni Relations Center, the Career and Entrepreneurship Community, the Construction Community, the Policy Design Community, the Industry and Quality Community, and İŞ-KUR (Turkish Employment Agency) simultaneously held a "Career Summit" at the main campus and campuses in the districts. Within the scope of this summit, the FUTURE OF THE AQUACULTURE PROCESSING SECTOR was discussed with the participation of expert academics and sector representatives.

Prof. Dr. Sevgi Savaş, Dean of the Eğirdir Faculty of Aquaculture at Süleyman Demirel University, delivered the opening speech at the event held in the Faculty of Agriculture Conference Hall. She expressed the faculty's pleasure in participating in the career summit and wished for a productive event where information about the aquaculture sector would be shared.

The event was attended by the Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Ali DULUPÇU, General Director of Fisheries and Aquaculture (BSGM), Agricultural and Rural Development Support Institution (TKDK) Support Services Coordinator, Isparta and Afyonkarahisar Provincial Directors of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Isparta TKDK Coordination Experts, Mediterranean Fisheries Research Institute (AKSAM) (Antalya), Eğirdir SAREM Director, Faculty Deans, lecturers, Presidents of Inland Water Products Producer Associations of Isparta and surrounding provinces, and many companies from the private sector such as KILIÇ Holding, Şahlanlar Gıda San Ltd. Şti, Baysallar Alabalık, Özpekler Su Ürünleri, Yapağılı Su Ürünleri, HAT Su Ürünleri, and Mühendisler Aquaculture participated. TKDK Support Services Coordinator Ramazan Çelebi stated that TKDK has been making significant contributions to the aquaculture sector since 2006. Çelebi stated that seafood products are included in social security coverage as supportive medical products in many countries around the world, and predicted that similar efforts should be made in Turkey, emphasizing the need for both producers and consumers to be aware of this. In his speech, Çelebi stressed the importance of developing the seafood sector in Turkey and highlighted the institution's readiness to provide all necessary support.

Prof. Dr. Özkan Özden, a faculty member at Istanbul University's Faculty of Fisheries, shared important information in his presentation on "The Market Situation and Future of the Seafood Processing Sector." Özden noted that when seafood is mentioned, the focus is usually more on the production of the products rather than their processing, stating, "Turkey has experienced a significant decline in production, particularly through fishing, but production through aquaculture is constantly increasing. When we look at what significantly supports the seafood processing sector, we realize that it is intertwined with the aquaculture sector." He emphasized that they cannot be independent of both the aquaculture and fishing sectors.

At the event, which brought together representatives from the public and private sectors, industry professionals shared their knowledge and experience with the students.
