Associate Professor Dr. Mustafa Ceylan, a faculty member of our department, conducted talks in three different cities between April 3-10, 2026, as part of the TÜBİTAK Science Talks program.
Within the scope of the events titled "Neglected Physicians: Medicinal Leeches," he met with approximately 350 students at Şehit Yunus Çiçek Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Afyonkarahisar, Barbaros Middle School in Bucak district of Burdur, and Kerkük Primary School in Şarkikaraağaç district of Isparta.
During the talks, students were introduced to medicinal leeches, and comprehensive information was provided about the threats they face, their commercial aspects, and their treatment and production processes.
